cause chor theng asked me to read
an article he wrote on canoeing.
and so i decided to check out
if there are any news on shooting
a divs on the webpage.
after some searching,
the search showed...
NO RESULTS FOUND.
like.omg.
shooting is like a super neglected
sport internationally.
nobody seems to deem it impt
cause like there isnt much to
watch really.
i mean.
u dont actually see flocks of ppl
flooding to shooting ranges
to see ppl shoot.
as opposed to ppl staying up late
at night just to watch the euro cup
and echo their neighbours' 'GOAL!'
but the least is to at least report like
what are the results and who
won what la.
lol.
then i found pictures on Singapore
school sports council on shooting.

omg.its as is if air pistol isnt a
component of shooting.
lol.
isnt the point that pistol is
generally more difficult in accuracy?
im not saying that shooting air rifle
is easy. Its NOT.
i have shot air rifle for the most part
of my J1 life and oh man,
it can kill.
what with the stinky suit and gloves.
If one does not die from heat melting
to death in a rifle suit,
(it can emit heat equivalent
to a sauna lor.)
then he or she must have fainted from
the smell emitted from the stink
of the suit.
Another problem with the suit is that
once you don it you become a
'mu tou ren'.
and literally.
Because you can barely move around
PROPERLY and is reduced to crab
walking wherever you wanna get to.
Then when u drop something,
esp if it is damn near you,
hoh.
you will spent ages trying to pick
it up by just BENDING down from
your waist, and in the process trying
to break ur upper body and your
lower body into 2 different parts;
when just seconds ago without the
suit you would have done it in less
than 2 seconds flat.
It takes PURE courage and
perserverence to not want to throw
all those far far away.
But, isnt the point that the pistol card
is so much FREAKING bigger tell
people that it is more difficult to aim
by nature?
lol.
and like rifle ppl use the suit to help
them eh.
pistol shooters have what?
the most is the shooting shoe only la.
no gloves nothing.
maybe specs, but the general attire
for pistol shooters is just
a comfortable shirt plus jeans.
and ur hand is ALONE in the battle
of fighting the 'dou-ing' monster.
It has utterly no support what so
ever so if ur hand happily decides
to 'dou' away through nationals,
(...like MINE...)
except for praying it will stop,
there is absolutely NOTHING
u can do about it.
SO.
just because rifle looks more cool
means there must be more
emphasis on it meh?

i say there should be equal
emphasis lor.
So after the intense analysis on how
terrible things shooters have to go
through, has it daunted anyone from
wanting to pursue the sport?
i hope not.
cause really shooting gives ppl a
tremendous amount of self
achievement and experience that other
sports cannot give.
cause its really a test of your ability
to stretch and learn,
to be able to acknowledge your mistakes
and learn from them.
its also a test of yourself.
if your able to beat your own personal
record again and again instead of
comparing your skills to other people.
Its a sport that tests your focus
and concentration, that is dependent on
many many different factors to achieve
any results that you wanna get.
